About The Meadow Camping Park

Award winning, family run park

“An acre of garden surrounded by lush meadows” is how Alan Rogers Good Camps Guide describes this family run park in the heart of West Cork A recipient of 3 environmental awards and recommended by ANWB, ACSI, ADAC, Camping Wijzer and Guide de Routard, this park boasts a full range of modern facilities and is a tranquil sanctuary, ensuring a memorable and relaxing stay.

The Meadow is situated just 1 mile / 2km from the scenic coastal village of Glandore. A popular port of call for boating enthusiasts, visitors can enjoy exquisite scenery while sampling the culinary delights and warm welcome of the village’s pubs and restaurants.

This unique site offers visitors the opportunity to relax on the nearby sandy beaches and enjoy walks on the scenic winding country roads. The Drombeg Stone Circle, a spectacular and famous example of Irish history, is just a short walk from the site. For the adventurous, guests can indulge in the sport of angling and take a boat trip where whale watching is a must.

The meadow is just 20 minute drive from the bustling towns of Clonakilty and Skibbereen and just a 5 minute drive from the charming fishing port of Union Hall, where fresh local catches can be sampled in delightful local pubs.

Regrettably we are unable to accommodate commercial vehicles. For safety reasons we do not allow football or permit the use of bicycles , skateboards and scooters in the park. We ask all visitors to observe the courtesy of a quiet and peaceful ambiance after 10.30pm.

Reviews

  • A little gem – highly recommended – A hidden West Cork gem. Very impressed with this off the beaten track campsite. Beautifully kept, lovely private pitches, great facilities and really good value. Perfect swimming conditions from the strand just down the hill towards Glendore. Stayed September 2023
  • Stayed in The meadow camping park for 2 nights. The facilities were spotless and there was everything you could possibly need. The campsite itself was beautiful and you felt like you have you’re own space, however any of the other guests were lovely and very friendly. The owner Stephen was an absolute gentleman. He was so helpful and made the stay a great one. He even took the time to share some facts and history about the area which I really appreciated. A great stay and would highly recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to camp in this region. Stayed July 2023
  • Lovely Quiet Campsite – Stayed here in our campervan for one night late July. Booking was very easy and the welcome was fantastic and very accommodating. The entire place was spotless with good facilities. Easy distance to the lovely wee town & nearby Stone Circle. Dog friendly. Highly recommend. Stayed July 2023
