About Ballinacourty House Caravan & Camping Park
The Site
Ballinacourty House caravan and camping park is situated in the
heart of the Glen of Aherlow, with stunning views of the Galtee
mountains and surrounding forests. Our facilities include a small
shop on site, playground, tennis court, mini-golf, free Wi-Fi, TV
room, laundry room, showers, campers’ kitchen and a secret
Victorian walled garden. The campsite was started in the late
1960s by a Dutch man who could see the potential of the site
and which even today has a European feel.
The Local Area and activities
The local village Lisvarrinane has a shop, pub and church within
a 15 minute walk. Explore the forest and mountains with looped
walks starting outside our entrance. Experience the beauty
of the wildlife and nature in this peaceful hidden gem. These
walks can range from beginner walks to something a little more
challenging. As you walk you can try Geocaching which involves
finding hidden stored containers using GPS. You can even try
to climb Galteemore. What about horse riding at Solohead
Equestrian Centre which is a 20 min drive away. We are also the
nearest campsite to the Ballyhoura mountain bike trails.
Sights & Leisure
The Vee, The Rock of Cashel, Cahir castle, The Swiss cottage
and the Mitchelstown Caves. There are also Cinemas and leisure
centres in Clonmel and Tipperary town.
Please note that our park is one that promotes respect for fellow
campers and the peaceful environment. We are not a party park
and expect all of our guests to respect our policy especially at
night by not disturbing others

Reviews
- Beautiful location, great facilities – Beautiful, peaceful break away from our busy lives. We stayed for 2 nights and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Tennis court, small crazy golf and gorgeous gardens all on site and free! As well as a playground for little children. All toilets and showers were clean and they also provided a fridge, freezer, stove and shop. The campsite is close to many walks around and close to Tipperary town. Highly recommend stopping by to nestle yourself between the mountains and fields of Ireland in this lovely little haven. Stayed July 2023
- Camping in Ballinacourty House, always reminds us of a French Campsite. Campsite lies at the foothills of the Galtee Mountains in the heart of the Glen of Aherlow with beautiful views that are constantly changing. A beautiful campsite, quite, well managed, good facilites with children’s playground, tennis court and crazy golf on site.
Also a walled in garden that is so colourful with a huge array of flowers and has benches where you can sit an relax.
It is within walking distance of a small village that has a shop, pub, church and very welcoming as are the owners of Ballinacourty House Caravan & Camping Park . Lots of different grade walks to choose from . Forestry walks to quite country roads and the more demanding Galtee mountains ! Enjoyed our stay as always and will be back shortly. Stayed June 2023 - First class campsite – amazing campsite . faultless . highly recommend . showers really good and clean. great campers kitchen. views are awesome. great walks and really friendly staff. we had a really good time . a must if your in this area.
