Cork is bursting with activities and festivals throughout the month of June.  Live at the Marquee will play host to a number of top acts throughout the month – Shania Twain, The Sugababes, Van Morrisson, John Bishop, Bryan Adams to name but a few of the top stars that will be there.  Also at this time the Cork

 

Cork Harbour Festival

 

Harbour Festival will be taking place over 10 days from 1st June and features over 80 events across Cork City and County. The flagship Ocean to City Race world will add colour and spectacle for all to enjoy on the 8th of June.  With over 80 events from dragon boating, kayaking, scuba diving, walks, talks, art, sea shanties, cycle tours and so much more there’s something for everyone in this year’s Cork Harbour Festival!  Add in the Cork Summer Show on the 15th & 16th June at Curraheen on the outskirts of the city and it will be bumper month for Cork.  The Cork Summer Show 2024 will be 2 days of action where you can experience the thrill of competitions, farming & equestrian events and a line-up that’s jam-packed with family-friendly entertainment, with 20 themed zones.  Camping Ireland has top quality caravan & camping parks throughout the county of Cork where you can pitch up for a night or a few days and take in some of the great events taking place.

 

 Bike Fest Killarney

 

Kerry is also a hive of activity during June.  Killarney plays host to BikeFest over the June Bank Holiday weekend. This is a free open event.  From bikers to non-bikers or even aspiring bikers, visitors, tourists, families and locals, BikeFest has something for all.  Just over the road Killorglin is the place to be for visual and performing arts on the June Bank Holiday weekend at the K-Fest. With over 60 events taking place including art exhibitions, workshops, music, craft markets and family entertainment there is something for everyone.  Later in the month the Féile na mBláth Tralee Park Festival takes place from 28th to 30th June offering a weekend of amazing events, flower shows, workshops, stalls and so much more and it is all FREE!  They also have a range of fringe events such as the annual dog show, events in the museum and emergency services display and so much more all for free!

Bord Bia Bloom at Phoenix Park Dublin

Dublin offers something for everyone to enjoy.  Over the Bank Holiday weekend take a trip to the Phoenix Park to experience the Bord Bia Bloom event where you are promised “Gardening, goodies & giggles”!!!!  Bloom is more than just a garden show.  From horticultural exhibitions to culinary demonstrations, live music, diverse food options, and activities for kids across 5 five stages, Bloom offers something for everyone. Later in the month for the first time the Taste of Dublin will take place at the fabulous Merrion Square from 13th – 16th June. Taste of Dublin offers visitors the unique opportunity to source essential ingredients from artisan producers, engage with Ireland’s top culinary talent, be on the front line of masterclasses from and relax in the gourmet atmosphere of the summer’s finest food and drink festival.

Kilkenny Cat Laugh Festival

The forth longest running comedy festival in the world takes place in Kilkenny over the Bank Holiday weekend.  Kilkenny Cat Laughs takes place throughout the city and has built a reputation for presenting some of the finest Irish comedians as well as international acts.

Something for all the family to enjoy is the Clara Bog Trotters Festival taking place 21st to 23rd June.  The festival includes guided field trips across the peatlands, talks and workshops as well as evening entertainment and music to celebrate the Summer Solstice.

Pitch up in Kilkenny, Tipperary or Waterford and take in some of the great events in Kilkenny or Offaly during June.

Over the June Bank Holiday weekend Headfest returns to Galway.  With some great performers including Trad Lib, The Tumbling Paddies and All Folk’d up as well as sports tournaments, craft fair and Tractor all the family will enjoy this festival.

Vandeleur Festival Kilrush

Vandeleur Festival returns to Kilrush from 27th to 30th June and features incredible artists and performers including The Kilfenora Céilí Band, Ger O’Donnell, Cherish the Ladies, Robert Mizzell, and more. With a variety of incredible acts, there’s something for everyone!

Rory Gallagher International Tribute Festival Ballyshannon

 

Travelling North wards, well there is so much happening throughout the month.  First up is the Rory Gallagher International Tribute Festival where thousands of music fans will be able to experience 30 acts on 15 stages over 4 days!  There are many outdoor gigs also over the weekend.  The Sea Sessions Surf & Music Festival takes place in Bundoran from 21st to 23rd June and includes a weekend of great music from Irish and International acts, Surfing, Beach Sports, Yoga, Skateboarding and BMX displays.

Pitch up for a few nights in Donegal or Sligo and take a trip to one of these top festivals taking place in Donegal during June.

 

Foyle Maritime Festival

 

The Foyle Maritime Festival returns to the city of Derry from 27th to 30th June and promises an exhilarating programme of entertainment, activities and interactive events.  The riverfront will be transformed into an international marina.  Throughout the month of June Belfast will be alive with BELSONIC and will play host to a number of international acts including Derek Ryan, Picture This, Becky Hill, Sting, Blondie, Take That and Shania Twain.
