Reviews

  • One of the best campsites in Ireland with a view to die for! – One of the best campsites in Ireland! The location is magnificently set in a bay just off the Atlantic. The facilities are excellent and the owners couldn’t be more helpful. Kris helps set our caravan on the pitch with a fabulous view of the bay & tidal stream. No need for levellers where Kris is involved! This was our 3rd visit and it certainly won’t be our last!!

  • Would have loved to have stayed longer – This was our first camping site in Ireland. Kris and Tatiyana were so very accommodating. Upon arrival, Kris showed us around. They allowed us to change campsites so we had one close to the water. The views are stunning!
Clean bathrooms and kitchen area. There is wifi but only in the common areas. Kris drove us into town (for a fee) so we could experience Clifden. Originally we were going to stay for 2 nights but had to cancel the first night due to time constraints. Since it was the off-season, there was no trouble with that. We were able to reserve the site and pay online so it was very convenient. They are an eco-friendly campsite, so you will need to make sure you have green tablets in your toilet.
Our only complaint (and this is completely on us) is that we couldn’t stay longer and explore the area.
