About Chestnutt Holiday Park

Online booking available

This five star park is set in an idyllic location at the mouth of Carlingford Lough. With the Mourne mountains creating the perfect backdrop for Cranfield’s blue flag beach, Chestnutt Holiday Park is an excellent base to explore this wonderful area.

The touring and camping areas are open and spacious, enabling that ‘get away from it all’ feeling. The all weather pitches are fully serviced and the centralised wash facilities are both clean and well maintained. With a super play park and summer activities there is also plenty for kids to do.

  • Fantastic site set next to wonderful scenerySuperb site. Staff were friendly and welcoming. We had lovely weather, fortunate as most of the summer had been raining. We got into trouble with our awning on one night with an unexpected storm. The staff helped take it down so it wouldn’t get damaged. Thanks so much to Alan for being so amazing & helping us out. Practicality: The site was very clean, well maintained with level spaced pitches, with own tap, electricity & wastewater drain. The best toilet block EVER, probably in whole of NI & Ireland. It had it’s own beautiful beach & playground. Site was quiet, people friendly, everyone kept to the 11pm curfew. Would definitely recommend and return. Good base for those from the South to explore the North. Great for walking & watersports, oh and Game of Thrones enthusiasts. The only qualm & it is very small and silly, is you have to pay for Internet €15 per device per week. So if you have teenagers warn them in advance! Thanks for a great holiday guys. • Excellent Caravan SiteDespite the weather we had a wonderful week, the facilities are 5 star*, Close enough to the nearest town (Kilkeel) plenty of shops and places to see all the fishing boats in the harbour and lovely beach and lots of wild life, will defiantly be back soon. Stayed July 2023
