Good Campsite Nearby ClifdenThis campsite is on a quiet lane which comes to a dead end and so is quiet. Whilst its within a 30 minute walk of Clifden it’s partially along the N59 road which has no pavement or lighting so its best to drive into town where there is decent parking available. On this basis, there isn’t really anywhere to walk from the campsite but there are plenty of good cycling routes nearby (Sky Road and Cleggan) and Connemara National Park is a short drive away. You’re allocated a pitch which are all well spaced out with plenty of room and well maintained. There didn’t seem to be many pitches with a view but the campsite is situated in a peaceful area (there is a working farm nearby though). The staff are very friendly, welcoming and helpful too. The facilities are good, well cleaned and you don’t have to pay extra for a shower! There aren’t many places for your possessions though (i.e. hanging up coats or toiletries) in either the toilet block or shower block (they are separate). They are centrally located though so never far to walk. All necessary amenities are provided and are, again, well maintained. I used the laundry which worked well and was 6 Euros for a 75 minute was and 3 Euros for 20 minutes drying.
I would definitely return to this campsite and recommend to anyone else. May 2026 – Solo Traveller

Excellent Clifden campsiteBy far the best campsite in the Clifden area. Fantastic services. There were free showers, immaculate toilets, kitchen. We had a lovely pitch and all pitches nicely positioned. Great rural setting
Staff were great as well, nothing too much trouble. Felt very relaxed. July 2025 – Couple -
Lovely Quiet and Friendly SiteHighly recommended. Superbly placed for touring west Galway and Sligo. A great set of facilities especially if you are camping – hot showers, clean toilets with an excellent campers’ kitchen with dining area. Clifden is just a short drive away – shops, bars, restaurants and cafe’s – or a healthy walk if you fancy it. The owners are lovely people, going the extra mile to be helpful.
Cannot fault it – will be back! May 2025
1.8KM North of Clifden, take a right turn off the main Clifden / Westport Road N59.
