Wouldn?t it be lovely to drive through the Burren in your campervan, stopping off for a picnic or to explore along the way? Staying at one of the many motorhome sites throughout Clare you will be able to travel to great locations and visit many famous attractions as well as the Burren, including the Cliffs of Moher, Ailwee Caves or even take the ferry from Doolin to visit the Aran Islands. The popularity of Kerry and Cork for motorhome holiday makers is evident when you are travelling around. You will find it easy to navigate the coastline in your motorhome, stopping along the way to overnight in great sites. You can park up your motorhome in Tralee, Killarney, Skibbereen or Clonakilty for the night in one of the great sites and take a short stroll into the towns. Have a few drinks, nice meal and maybe join in the sing-song in the local pub.
Ireland?s Ancient East takes in the eastern part of the country. Experience coastal driving routes through Waterford, Wexford and Wicklow or travel inland to the historic city of Kilkenny or the many monuments and historic sites around Tipperary. A visit to Glendalough and Wicklow National Park is a must. Take a hike around the national park and head back to your motorhome for a refreshing cup of tea. Also a trip to Powerscourt is a must and tailor made for wandering. You might even catch one of the open-air performances that take place there during the summer months. You also have another great cycling and walking trail in the South East ? the Waterford Greenway. Unhitch your bike and take a cycle along the old railway line. Maybe you could even manage a refreshing beverage in a pub along the way.
