• Hidden Gem
  A well hidden gem..I booked last minute just to try out our new to us caravan. On arrival I was met by a very courteous Eamonn at reception. He promptly brought me to my pitch which is where his professionalism came through…I was starting to panic at the what seemed like a tight spot considering my lack of reverse parking….but 3 moves later i was parked up thanks to Eamonn’s knowledge and experience (He’s worth listening to,obviously doing this a long time)..Pitch was well placed and serviced. The park was spotless and well cared for..Kids and birds were the only thing to be heard about the place. Dogs were all well behaved and even a sloppy lick from Murphy (K9).Grey waste facilities were perfect…I liked the sink at a height rather than having to bend up and down (it’s an age thing)..Toilets and showers were aged but there was no issue..Taps , soap dispensers dryers all in good order..?1 for 6 long minutes in the powerful hot shower..Great value..Free wifi is a bonus here.. • Peaceful campsite in beautiful area.
  This is our second time going to this campsite (each time for just one night). Eamon has given us a great welcome on both occasions and the campsite itself is lovely. There are lots of mobile homes that are obviously loved by their owners, who keep the areas around them beautiful with pot plants, nice lighting and decoration. This gives the site a really appealing look. There is also a motor home section. The area for tents is in a large field but there are plenty of shrubs to prevent a bare look, and tents are very well spaced out. The toilet blocks are not new, but they are immaculate and soap and toilet rolls are provided. The showers are powerful and are a lovely temperature (this is not adjustable). They are great value at ?1. We were cycling and needed to charge my electric bike and Eamon provided an adaptor for the electric outlet beside our tent. There was no charge, only a ?20 fully refundable deposit.
  We went to the on site sauna, which is run be another business and needs to be booked separately – it was lovely at the end of a long day cycling. There is an on site coffee shop / small restaurant but we didn’t use it as it closes quite early.
  This is a very quiet campsite, so if you are looking for a lively place, then this will not be for you. But if you are looking for a tranquil campsite in a beautiful area, then we would highly recommend it. September 2025 – Couple
