About Strand Camping Doonbeg

We are a small, dog-friendly campsite with 20 pitches (18 with metered EHU), ideally located on Doonbeg Bay for tourers exploring the breathtaking scenery of the Wild Atlantic Way. We have free high-speed WiFi across the campsite, hot showers included in the price, coin operated laundry, motorhome service point, children?s GAA/Soccer pitch and a dog walk/exercise area. So whether you?re camping with your tent and bicycle/motorbike or looking for a short stay touring pitch for your caravan, motorhome or campervan we have individual pitches designed by us, especially for you.

Excellent Campsite ! In a great location, the site has all the the facilities you could wish for & it’s spotless ! The owners are soo friendly & make you feel right home & soo helpful. There are beaches along the coast here you could only dream of for swimming, surfing and cliff walks. &Its only a few minutes walk to the nearest town for shoping & great pubs. Couldn’t recommend this site enough. Stayed August 2024

The perfect place for a family camping trip – Just back from our first family camping trip and Strand Camping was the perfect place. We were greeted by the lovely Simon (and little Daisy!) on arrival who gave us a quick tour. Everything about this place was top-notch. It was very well maintained with spotless shower/toilet facilties, outside campers kitchen as well a pitch for the kids to run around and let off steam. Strand Camping is also very dog friendly, which is important for us.. They have a specific dog run area, which was very handy. It’s also set in a great location, looking right out on the bay and only a short stroll into Doonbeg village where there are plenty of eating options. All in all, a perfect place for our first family camping trip – we’ll definitely be back!

Campsites don’t get much better than this ~ 5? – Booked this as part of my WAW tour, and loved everything about it, from the moment was greeted by Simon & Sue , to the moment I left. Lovely quaint small campsite, that just exudes character & charm. Awesome washroom facilities ( toilet , sink & shower in an individual room ) and modern laundry equipment too. Understand that Simon & Sue have recently taken over from previous owners , and seem to have hit the ground running. Would return without hesitation. Good luck to you both.
