About Glen of Aherlow Caravan & Camping Park

Spectacular scenery, top class amenities and a warm welcome await you at this award-winning Park. Situated right in the heart of one of the most picturesque valleys in Ireland, it is the ideal location for those seeking peace and serenity surrounded by beautiful nature.

The secluded and scenic Glen of Aherlow lies between the dramatic Galtee Mountains, Ireland?s highest inland mountain range, and the wooded slopes of Slievenamuck in the heart of Ireland?s Ancient East. Woodland walks are readily accessible from the Park. Bicycle and E-Bike hire available. Feeling more adventurous: explore the Galtees and their five corrie lakes or go off-road cycling at Ballyhoura Mountain Bike Park.

Also within walking distance: Aherlow House Hotel, Restaurants, Nature Park and National Loop Walks. Excellent location for sightseeing and exploring Southern Ireland. Modern Sanitation Facilities, Laundry, Campers? Kitchen, Recreation Room, TV Room, Free Wi-Fi throughout the Park. Easy access to facilities with fully equipped wheelchair accessible separate suite.

Large and level serviced pitches, hard-standing and grass, each with electricity and water. The Park is secured by electronic barrier. Groups and Rallies welcome.

For safety reasons the use of bicycles, scooters, skateboards, rollerblades etc is not permitted on the Park.

  • Lovely campsite
    We had a lovely night here, very quiet secluded site with plenty of green areas for kids to run about. The pool table was a big hit as there wasn?t a lot of kids onsite to play with .
    The facilities were absolutely spotless and FREE Showers was a big bonus. Lovely owner definitely recommend a visit

  • Countryside Relaxation
    Very friendly reception. An excellently site surrounded by magnificent scenery. Good cycling and walking nearby. The facilities are well kept, clean and modern, ideally could do with a few more showers and/or washing cubicles. Overall well worth a visit for the countryside and relaxation.
    Observation: Nearby Tipperary is ?over the hill? – not much there for tourists. Stick with the excellent countryside instead.

  • The best introduction to Ireland you could ask for.
    From the grand entrance to the unsurpassed views of the Galtees, this site was a wonderful introduction to Ireland. The friendly welcome from George soon had us relaxing in reception before taking us to pitch 19, picked for us by him to give us the best view of the hills during our seven nights stay. Generously sized pitch, with an open aspect, own fresh water and waste point , and a clean and fresh looking facilities block just a short stroll behind us. A great base to explore the glen by bike, walk the forests and the lower slopes of the Galtee Mountains, pop over to Tipperary, or along to Cahir and Cashel. We could not have asked for a better introduction. Could easily come back and do it all again. July 2025 – Family

From Dublin, Rosslare or Cork: Exit M8 and follow signs for Limerick/ Tipperary N24 as far as Bansha. At O?Heney?s PH in Bansha take R663 to Glen of Aherlow. After 500m keep right at Y. Continue on R663 for 9.2km ? Glen of Aherlow Caravan & Camping Park on right. From Limerick: take N24 through Tipperary as far as Bansha. Follow directions as above G.P.S: N 52.419981 W 08.187867
