About Dundonald Touring Caravan Park

Dundonald Touring Caravan Park offers a calm and peaceful location for caravaners and campers. The site is located five miles from Belfast, providing visitors with the ideal base for exploring the city and the picturesque County Down coastline. A bowling centre, Olympic sized ice rink and indoor soft play area can be found in Dundonald International Ice Bowl adjacent to the Park.

The Caravan Park is open as a fully serviced site from 15th March to 31st October 2026 with Aire de Service running 1st November 2025 to 14th March 2027.

Aire de Service includes electricity, waste and water provisions.

  • Nice clean well maintained site has laundrette and shower and toilet facilities very clean water and power at every site also have a few picnic tables close to food eateries recommend bull and bear for amazing food plenty of other choice for food in area to plus close to dundice ring.   • Good location to visit Belfast
    The site was useful for visiting Belfast, good location tight on bus route which runs very regularly. The facility block is warm and no limit on very hot water, could do with update but clean and very useable. Small kitchen area with microwave etc. Only part time warden so you are given key code and pitch number when booking make sure you have this for gate and toilet block. We slept well, had no issues with road noise. September 2025 – Couple
  • Great location for Belfast – very close to the greenway
    This campsite is all about the location as it is very close to Belfast. Some people complain about the noise but we didn’t find it intrusive. You’re very close to a city center so I’m not sure what people expect! They also complain about the fence surrounding the site but we didn’t mind this as it kept everything secure. We were sent a code beforehand and didn’t have any problems using it. There’s an amazing cycling/ walking path right next to the site called the greenway, which is an excellent facility. We used it to cycle into Belfast which took us about 30 minutes. The cycle ride was 99% on the greenway/ cycle lanes and the other 1% is on a very quiet road. The majority of the ride is on the greenway until you get close the the CS Lewis square but we used google maps to get us into the city. I definitely recommend cycling into the city center. We walked to Stormont which took about 30 minutes and is well worth doing, Before we went lots of people recommended the Titanic museum which I wasn’t bothered about but we went and it was excellent. However the highlight was a black cab tour of the Troubles. This was another thing that we were uncertain about but our driver was excellent and very informative. It turned into he highlight of our trip to Belfast. June 2024 – Couple

 

From Belfast follow directions for City Airport. At City Airport follow outer ring towards Newtownards/Dundonald to Ulster Hospital. At Ulster Hospital go right, past McDonalds onto East Link Road. Pass through 1st set of traffic lights. At 2nd set of lights go right - enter Dundonald Ice Bowl on left.
