Keel Camping is an expansive campsite located on the shores of the idyllic Keel Strand, with breath taking views of the Minaun Cliffs, Slievemore and Croaghaun Mountains, making it a beautiful and tranquil location.

The campsite showers, bathrooms, and kitchen have been recently renovated.

There is a large social room onsite, laundry facilities and shop. Within walking distance to the beach, playground, shop, takeaways, cafes, restaurants, bars, and many activities including surfing, kite surfing, kayaking SUP, cycling, hiking and more.

  • Solo bike pack adventure
    Keel Camping is in a fantastic location with a great atmosphere. The tent area backs directly onto the beach, where there are picnic benches and stunning views across the bay, making it a lovely place to relax after a day exploring Achill. The facilities are very good overall, with clean showers and well-maintained amenities. My only criticism is that the showers cost ?2 for five minutes, and a noticeable portion of that time is spent waiting for the water to heat up, which doesn’t leave much actual shower time. The staff were excellent throughout my stay ? friendly, polite and helpful. There was some late-night noise from people on the beach, but this was not the fault of the campsite. Once informed, campsite security dealt with the issue promptly, showing that they genuinely look after their guests and take concerns seriously. A great campsite with a welcoming vibe, excellent staff and an unbeatable beachside setting.

    We hired 3 mobile homes for extended family get together, absolutely great time had by all, Lisa and her staff couldn?t have been more helpful, the mobile homes were 5*, every thing we requested was provided. Everyone had a fantastic experience thanks to the Lisa and her team. June 2026 – Family

    Great facilities at campsite. Bonus was the social room. Perfect to shelter from the rain. Dog friendly. Loads of spaces when we visited. Easy check in and very friendly staff. Perfect location on the beach. June 2026 – Couple
