  • Quite possibly… the best wake-up call we’ve ever had – the sound of ducks quacking outside our caravan. It’s probably been 20+ years since we stayed at Lough Ree and I’m glad to report that the campsite has not lost its charm. We enjoyed a nice couple of days there, simply enjoying the surroundings and the company of others. Thanks to John for his warm hospitality. Stayed September 2023
  • Crackin spotWe arrived here as our camper had developed an issue . It was super busy but we had a grass spot with electric hookup. Loos showers kitchen and wash up – super clean . We planned a 1 night stay but stayed for 3. Beautiful location by the loch and the ducks are super friendly. Walked into Glasson and taxied to Athlone. Lots to see and do or just chill . Would come back again? just for Johns tales ! Stayed September 2023
  • Best sunset experience in Ireland? possiblyA simply magnificent place with one of the best sunsets over water I’ve ever seen, we will certainly be back soon. John is a wonderful host and made us all feel very welcome. Kids had a terrific time on the waters edge, special mention to the resident ducks, who all especially enhanced the kids experience with their presence. Stayed July 2023
