Camping for work-brilliant! – I had to work for two weeks in Galway and decided to camp partly pandemic/partly I love camping. This looked the best site in the best place but I wasn’t very excited about camping in a site (I prefer solo camping in the great outdoors). I was pleasantly surprised. The site is scrupulously clean, practical (showers, toilets, kitchen facilities/fridge, charging points for phones etc…) but also right on the beach. I could get up and have a swim every morning, then a hot shower! I cooked most nights on the beautiful headland, which was fantastic and five minutes walk from my tent. Cooking breakfast by my tent was actually really nice because there’s a great view. The staff were lovely and couldn’t do enough for me-despite being there all hours. The camping field was big enough to always feel roomy but also small enough for everyone to be chatty and welcoming. I had no problem with noise etc, all very peaceful, even at weekends. A great find and I’ll be back.Date of stay: July 2021

First time camping! – Ideal for first time campers. We stayed here for one Friday night in July 2021.
We rang a few days before and were told we did not need to book just turn up early enough and we would get a spot. We arrived about 11am and were spoilt for choice on where to pitch our tent. The tent field is a nice size and we got a corner pitch near the water tap. Our tent was the furthest from the sites’ facilities and at that we were only 2 minutes walk from the toilets/showers.
Checking in the man on the desk was very friendly, gave us the run down on the site and some local info. The site was very easy navigate, lovely location and had everything we needed. After reading some reviews on tripadvisor about tents being very close together and the staff not being too friendly I was a little nervous before we got there. However I can happily report that we will definitely be returning and really enjoyed our first night camping! Thanks so much!Date of stay: July 2021
Coming to Galway from Sligo N17, Dublin/Limerick and to avoid the city centre, stay on the N6, continue straight on through all traffic lights until you come to Kirwan roundabout. Continue straight through 2nd exit, continue past Dunnes Stores (Terryland) and turn right at next set of traffic lights. Continue on N6 over the River Corrib. Continue straight through all traffic lights and roundabouts. Come to Deane Roundabout, continue straight through roundabout, turn right at traffic lights (R337), continue straight on for 1km and you will see Joyces Supermarket on R.H.S. Take the next left after Joyces Supermarket. You are 200 metres from the caravan park. Watch out for our large sign. Turn right immediately at the sign. Drive down avenue to green office building. See website for more info.
