Surrounded by woodland and farmland, the Park offers a quiet and relaxing holiday in a country environment. The secluded and beautiful Glen of Aherlow lies between the dramatic Galtee Mountains, Ireland's highest inland mountain range, and the wooded slopes of Slievenamuck on the edge of the Golden Vale. Woodlands walks are readily accessible and rambling. For the adventurous, the towering Galtee slopes and their five corrie lakes are just waiting to be conquered.

The park is centrally located within 300 metres of the Tourist Information Point, Glen Hotel and Restaurant, Coach Inn and Pottery Shop. Also within walking distance of the Nature Park and Aherlow House Hotel.
